In my last few posts, I have spent some time outlining how you can use eBay to start an online business and create some internet business income. Should you be interested in starting an online business on eBay, I would urge you to order a copy of eBay 101: Selling on eBay For Part-time or Full-time Income, Beginner to PowerSeller in 90 Days. When I started selling on eBay, I spent a great deal of time looking for a book that would offer a new eBay seller like me instructions on how to get started and also structure my eBay business, well…like a business! This book was exactly what I needed to help me get started. It starts you from the very basics of opening an eBay account and covers everything you need to know in great depth. I found that the section on finding inventory to be excellent, worth the price of the book itself! What I learned from the book help me avoid a number of common mistakes and make more money!

Today I would like to discuss a different internet income opportunity, and that is using eBay’s sister company, Half.com. Half.com is a auction site that allows you to buy and sell used books, CDs, DVDs and games and is yet another home based business income opportunity.

Using Half.com is super easy. You sign up for an account (you can use an eBay account if you have one) and list the items you wish to sell. In the case of books, this is really easy, as you simply input the ISBN number. You specify the condition of your book and how much you’d like to sell it for. Once you list the item is stays on the site until someone buys it. Half.com then send you an email with the shipping details and you ship the item! Apart from having to ship your items, selling on Half.com truly is a home based business income!

Half.com differs from eBay in a few important aspects. There are no listing fees to start with, you are simply charged a commission when your items sells. Half.com takes care of the payment issues for you and sends you a check every payment cycle for the items you have sold. You don’t have to worry about Paypal fees and internet business income appears in your bank account regularly!

Here’s a great tip to get some items to sell – why not put an ad in your local Craigslist offering to collect books that people no longer want?

I hope that you have found this internet income opportunity of some interest to you!

Welcome to another post which (I hope!) will encourage you to think about how you can start an online business and create internet business income.

In my previous post, I promised to offer you a number of different areas in which you can look for an internet income opportunity and start an online business. In that post, I had suggested eBay as a possible way to create your internet income opportunity and suggested that if you didn’t like the idea of sourcing products, shipping and packing your items, then eBay may not have been for you.

There is an aspect of this that I would like to expand upon though.

There are a number of eBay sellers who make internet business income without physically dealing with the items they are selling. In such cases, sellers can use dropshippers to complete the order fulfillment process.

It works like this – you find a suitable dropshipping company that sells items people on eBay would be interested in purchasing. From their site, you will select items that you wish to list (they will supply you with descriptions and pictures of the items). If possible, see if you purchase one of the items. This way, you will be able to take your own photographs and provide a better description that your dropshipper’s. You will then list the item on eBay. Once the item is sold, you purchase the item from your dropshipper and given them your buyer’s shipping details. They will then package the item and ship it to the purchaser. Your profit is the difference between what you paid the dropshipper and what your eBay buyer paid you (less various eBay fees). Before you know it, you have internet business income!

There are some points to remember if you would like to use a dropshipping company. Do your research before you decide on a dropshipper and read the terms and conditions before signing up. Another point is that there may be times when you have sold an item, only to find that it is currently out of stock with your dropshipper. Make sure that you know in advance how you and your dropshipper will deal with these situations.

Research the items you wish to sell carefully. As you may know, it will cost you money to list your items, so start out slowly and build up the number of items you wish to sell over time.
