In my last post, I mentioned that there are essentially three forms of income. Of these, passive income is the most interest to us, as it allows us to generate additional income. As I mentioned, starting an internet business and generating internet business income would certainly fall under the category of passive income!
Let’s assume for the moment that you are interested in starting an online business and creating internet business income. Why else would you be here if this was not the case?
The first thing to appreciate is that starting a online business (or any business in fact!) will not happen overnight. Sure, if you were to do an internet search for online business, there would be lots of websites promising to have you making $XXXX per day! All you have to do is purchase their system and internet business income will be flowing into your back account before you know it!
Sadly, life isn’t that easy. Consider this – if you had such a fool-proof way to make money, would you be willing to sell it to anyone who came across your website?
Assuming you are on-board for the long-haul, where can you start to create internet business income? My suggestion to people just starting out and wishing to dip their toes in the online world would be eBay. Now I know that the fees associated with buying and selling on eBay have increased over the years, but is still remains a great way to start your online career. The start up costs are incredibly low (in fact, if you can read this, you have all you need to get started).
So, what are you going to do for stock for your new eBay business. Well, we know that all businesses start from humble beginnings. Why not have a look a look around your home. Are there items lying around that you really do not use? What about the “stuff” in the box in the hall closet? Is there anything of value in there? I’m sure that there probably is!
The next step is really very easy. Tidy up your item, take a few photographs and list it on eBay! Your first internet business income will become a possibility once you hit that “start auction” button. Remember, the idea for the moment is simply to gain a little experience in the online world. Once you have gained a little experience and have a better sense of what tends to sell on eBay, you’ll be able to take the next step!
