In my last post, I discussed how people with limited online experience could develop create an online business using eBay and thereby create an additional income, internet business income. As I mentioned, this is an excellent way to get started. Indeed, a number of people create a full time income using eBay.
However, perhaps you have some internet experience, or the idea of sourcing products, packing and shipping them as needed for eBay does not appeal to you. What are your alternatives?
Well, the good news is that you still have a number of options and in my next few posts, I will expand on some of these.
As I mentioned in a previous post, creating internet business income is not something that will happen overnight. It is something that will take time and is hard to rush.
The first option you have is to create internet business income via blogging. As I am sure you know, there are a number of people who make a nice, full-time income by blogging.
I believe that the first criteria you need for becoming a blogger is passion for your subject. The kind of passion that will keep you wanting to create posts, even when you have few readers visiting your site regularly. The passion to sit down and write about your subject when you really cannot think of anything to write about, “writer’s block”.
Assuming you have this level of passion for a subject blogging may be for you!
So, how do you get started? What are the costs?
Well, there are a number of sites, such as Blogger and Wordpress.com which will allow you to create a blog and get started. As you develop your experience (and you have a significant number of readers) you can consider developing your own blogging website.
So, to the important question, how do you create internet business income by blogging? Again, there are a number of possibilties. You can offer affiliate products links to sites such as Amazon, who will pay you a commission for people who click on your site link and subsequently purchase something. Another way to generate revenue would be to host ads (such as Google Adsense). You can also charge individuals to advertize on your blog.
Should you need a little more motivation to get started, how about this – Blogger Shoemoney’s site (which was started in 2005) currently generates a monthly revenue of around $12,000.
